Laurie Como, M.A., C.C.C.-SLP
Laurie is the co-owner of the Como Pediatric Communication Center. Laurie is in her 23rd year of work as a pediatric speech/language pathologist. Laurie's experience is unsurpassed. While her passion is to work with the toddler aged child, she has worked with every age and disorder in the profession. Laurie's professional reputation in the community and neighboring school districts is a testament to her hard work and commitment to helping children. Laurie is a caring therapist that treats every child with love and an unparalleled desire to improve their communication skills. Laurie shares everyday at home and work with her husband Craig. They have a 10 year old daughter Nina and two dogs, Annie and Stella.

Craig Como
Craig is a graduate of Hillsdale College and is the co-owner
of the Como Pediatric Communication Center with his wife Laurie.
Craig's previous work experience includes 2 years as a secondary
school teacher and 9 years in the telecommunications field.
Craig serves as the day to day operations manager of CPCC,
and focuses on making sure that every new client feels comfortable
with their decision to bring their child to the center. He
promises to provide a warm, friendly and positive experience
to every family.

Karen Kubicki, M.A., C.C.C.-SLP
Karen has been a member of the CPCC team since it's opening in 2003. Karen is an integral part of the success at CPCC due to her efforts as a speech/language pathologist. Karen utilizes her 10 years of experience to provide treatment that focuses on results. As a mother of two, Karen is extremely successful in gaining immediate trust from the children she works with. Karen's passion for the profession is recognized by the parents of the children she has the opportunity to interact with. She is an exceptional speech/language pathologist and is an admired member of the staff. Karen and her husband Scott have two children, four year old daughter Ellie and one year old son, Brayden.

Tammy Peppers, M.A, C.C.C.-SLP
Tammy Peppers is an 18 year veteran and member of the CPCC
staff since it's opening in 2003. Tammy is a devoted speech/language
pathologist whose knowledge far outreaches the industry norm.
Her gentle approach lends to an immediate connection between
child and therapist. Tammy continues to be innovative with
her treatment ideas and is able to provide a course of treatment
that is appropriate and goal driven for every child she works
with. Tammy is married to her husband Sean and are the proud
parents of their two year old daughter, Alyse.

Lori Serlin, M.A, C.C.C.-SLP
Lori joined the staff at CPCC in 2004. Lori brings 6 years of experience to the team along with two years spent working in the Avondale school district. Lori's school experience was an immeasurable tool for our center as it allowed us to better understand how we can work collectively with the local school districts. Most of Lori's prior experience was working with school aged children, however her knowledge and desire to work with younger children has allowed her to develop into an extremely well rounded speech/language pathologist. Lori is committed to the success of every child she works with. Lori is married to her husband Brian and they have a two year old daughter, Hailey.

Tracy Naftaly, OTR/L
Tracy has 20 years of experience as a pediatric Occupational Therapist. Tracy graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1989. She has worked in many capacities prior to joining the CPCC team. Those experiences included work in a rehab setting for spinal cord injuries; pediatric home care; hospital based intervention (NICU) working with premature babies and also in the developmental assessment clinic (DAC);16 years in the local public school system servicing the ASD pre-school and elementary programs. Tracy’s continuing education courses are expansive! They include many seminars on Sensory Integration and Brain Gym. She is also very knowledgeable in a wide variety of handwriting and fine motor programs (Handwriting Without Tears, Callirobics, First Strokes); Vision Therapy; Picky Eaters/Oral Motor strategies/Talk Tools; P.E.C.S. and TEACCH; core work; online course for P.L.A.Y./Floortime/DIR principals. Tracy is certified in Pediatric Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT) as well as Therapeutic Listening. Tracy is married to her husband Gary and has two daughters, Jessica, 16 and Ashley 14.

Fran Roth, RPT
Fran has thirty years of experience as a pediatric Physical Therapist in various settings including schools, hospitals, home care and outpatient clinics. She graduated from Wayne State University and is currently pursuing her DPT there. At the start of her career Fran initiated the pediatric outpatient program at Wyandotte General Hospital and then worked on staff at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. For the past twenty years Fran has worked in the school system treating children from birth to age 18. Fifteen of those years were spent in early intervention working with newly diagnosed babies. Fran’s continuing education courses include the Physiology of Learning, Integrating Neurotherapeutic and Sensory Techniques into Therapy for the Special Needs Client, Brain Gain: pre and postnatal neural development, The Out-of Sync Child has fun. Fran also feels a social responsibility to enhance the health of members in the community. With her family, Fran has supported and volunteered at the juvenile diabetes research foundation (JDRF) for over two decades.
