Available Services

When considering occupational therapy, we typically relate it to adults and not children due to the term "occupation". But children have occupations too, such as playing, learning and socializing with peers. At Como Pediatric Communication Center we help children to develop those necessary "occupations" to lead a more independent and fulfilling life.

Our pediatric occupational therapist (Tracy Naftaly) specializes in the evaluation and treatment of the following areas:

Sensory integration
Balance and coordination skills
Overall strength
Fine motor/handwriting skills
Visual perception
Play and socialization skills
Oral motor skills (Talk Tools and Beckman Oral Motor)
Feeding
Self-help/dressing skills
Organization, focus and attention
Therapeutic Listening

Our clinic is designed to be playful and friendly with the use of innovative therapy equipment. The work our therapist's do is strongly play-based, which is rooted in extensive training to find that "just right" challenge for each child.
