What is the P.L.A.Y. Project?

Created by Dr. Richard Solomon, M.D. and based on the DIR (Developmental, Individualized, Relationship based) theory by Stanley Greenspan M.D. The P.L.A.Y. Project focuses on the importance of helping parents become their child's best play partner.

What does Home Consultation include?

Family support

10 visits per year

One 3 hour session monthly this includes 60 minutes of modeling, 60 minutes of coaching, and 60 minutes of direct feedback

Selected videotaping of P.L.A.Y. interactions with written evaluations and feedback on a monthly basis

Assistance with IEP goals

What does the research say about the P.L.A.Y. Project?
The most recent research study includes Dr. Solomon's findings based on the P.L.A.Y. Project's Home Consulting model. The study included 68 children and their families who completed 8-12 P.L.A.Y. home visits. The results of the study revealed that 79% of children made significant to fair progress.
